Spagetti Sauce

(Crock Pot Version)

   This Quick-and-Easy-Recipe for Spagetti Sauce makes a rather thick and rich sauce, perfect to make ahead for company meals, crock pot cooking frees you up to focus on all the other important details.

Spagetti Sauce  

(Crock Pot Version)

1 lb. ground beef

1 lb italian sausage

1 (29) oz can toamto puree

1 (26) oz. jar prepared spagetti sauce

2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

2 teaspoons iltalian spices

2 Teaspoons Onion Powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

2 garlic cloves minced

pinch of red pepper flakes

Set Crockpot to high, spray lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Cut italian sausage into 2 inch pieces. (easiest to cut if still slightly frozen.) 

Pour olive oil into crock pot, add italian sausage, break up ground beef as you place into crock pot over italian sausage. 

Sprinke italian spices, onion powder, salt and red pepper flakes. allow to cook on high for about 1 hour, or until meat begins to cook. 

Add minced garlic and Tomato puree and spagetti sauce. If sauce appears too thick, add 1/2 cup water. turn crock pot to low, allow to cook 6 to 8 hours.
